We've done two episodes on rooftop solar. But what about those of us who don't have available sunny roof space? How do we get clean electricity?
We buy it from our local community choice aggregator, Marin Clean Energy (MCE).
In this episode, we talk with Jenna Tenney from MCE, and learn about MCE's relationship with PG&E, what options are available, and what it costs.
Here is MCE's mix of power sources as of 2021, compared to California as a whole:
And here is the link to the web page to compare and change service options.

In this episode, we talk to MCE, which supplies clean energy to Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, and Solano counties, but nearly everyone in the Bay Area has access to a community choice aggregator supplying renewable electricity. Here's the list by county, though some aggregators are not exactly divided along county lines:
Alameda County -- East Bay Community Energy
San Mateo County -- Peninsula Clean Energy
San Francisco County -- Clean Power SF
Santa Clara County -- Silicon Valley Clean Energy
