We're back at Pacheco Marsh, this time on a tour and work day with the John Muir Land Trust and Friends of Alhambra Creek. It's our chance to learn more about the invasive species which are pressuring the marsh, and about the Land Trust and its ambitious plans to restore other wetlands, maintain this one - and create a wildlife corridor along Suisun Bay!
It's a beautiful day at the marsh!
Even though we are surrounded by ships, industry and pipelines
INVASIVE SPECIES
Pepperweed, smilograss, and iceplant
NATIVES
Coyote bush, seaside heliotrope and pickleweed
POOP!
Mystery scat -- and coyote poop
Here's the Central Sanitary District outfall
And a giant gathering of ladybugs
