Earth Day is coming up and because April 22 is midweek this year, the celebrations are spread over two weekends.


Here is a sampling - there are many more, of course.




APRIL 17


Sustainable Contra Costa: Green Movie Night screening "The History of Plastic", followed by a panel discussion. Walnut Creek Methodist Church, 6:30 - 9:00 PM. More info here.



APRIL 18


Contra Costa Resource Conservation District: Marsh Creek and Trails Earth Day Cleanup, also called Upper Sand Creek basin, 9:00 AM - noon. Meet south of Kaiser Antioch. More info here. CCRCD is also sponsoring other events and cleanups. Check them our here.



John Muir National Historic Site: John Muir Birthday and Earth Day Celebration, including house tour, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. More info here.

East Bay Native Plant Society: Huckleberry Park Restoration Workday, 9:30 AM - noon. More info here.
